A conversation with Chris Grainger, CEO of U-Boat Replica Watches
As the brand prepares to inaugurate its new centralised manufacturing facility at the end of August, I took the opportunity to speak with Chris Grainger, CEO of U-Boat Replica Watches
The last time I met Grainger, I was running hard along the beach to keep up with him at the Watches & Wonders event in Miami. This time, I spoke to him by phone from his office in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, so I didn't feel out of breath at all.
What is the current situation at U-Boat fake Watches
Very good. We are very pleased with the progress of the 150th anniversary year. The Jubilee collection has been well received. We had a very good series of events, including a global roadshow, and Franck Muller Swiss Replica
we opened some great pop-up shops, one in Hong Kong and one at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. These have also been very successful. Seeing that we can sell products at airports at all price points has made me rethink travel retail. It's as much about image building as it is about retailing.

U-Boat Replica Watches Schiphol Airport boutique
We have a boutique in Zurich in partnership with Carl F. Bucherer, and twice a year we have an event at Zurich Airport. Something is happening when you see the difference between normal retail and this open format, where there is no threshold because you don't have to go through a door and people are more likely to discover the brand. We have a lot of people who are quite new to U-Boat Replica Watches and even mechanical watches. It's a completely different customer base.
