Passion for the Paranormal
The calendar artwork was produced by Unearthly News editor Matthew Brant. The images were digitally composited using a combination of original photographic and virtual creations. The result was a set of unique pictures representing many facets of paranormal and UFO mythology. Matthew was inspired to create the artwork by the news stories and articles that are regularly posted on the Unearthly News web site. Speaking about the images in the calendar, he states:“These images were very much inspired by the stories that I see every day on subjects like pyramids in Antarctica, near death experiences, and alien abductions, to name just a few. Whether true or false, these stories have always fascinated me, and I wanted to try and depict them using new and unexpected angles. The aim was to create a set of images that represented many aspects of the fringe news, but did so in a truthful and respectful way.”
